PVC (p' -v -c ): Polyvinylchloride closed cell foam with superior gasketing ability and excellent compression recovery.

Function:

A thinner, more dense PVC foam tape used to provide a protective seal in and around several areas of the vehicle and offer anti-rattle and anti-squeak properties where tighter spaces and smaller openings are present.

Application:

PVC tape rolls are made with the release liner attached to the PVC material instead of the adhesive. Unwinding a roll exposes the adhesive side, while leaving the liner on the foam. It is also convenient to remove the first wrap of liner, causing the liner to come off on the adhesive side.

Put-up:

Provided in self-wound rolls with an aggressive acrylic adhesive. Available in black only.

Materials:

15# PVC Foam is a more dense form of sealing and serves well in tighter spaces and cracks of a vehicle's anatomy. 15# PVC provides excellent sealing and gasketing against indoor and outdoor elements as well as anti-rattle and anti-squeak. PVC is inherently fire retardent and UV (ultra-violet light) resistant.

Most Common Uses:

15# PVC is approved and commonly used for automotive roof racks, vibration and dampening trunk tape, anti-rattle, anti-squeak, moisture and light barriers, center mount brake light seal, cup holders, console and bin liners, and automotive fuel tanks.
