LAMATEK kicked off 2017 by expanding its manufacturing facility from 49,000 to 92,000 square feet, which will significantly increase production capacity. The leading supplier of foam tapes, seals, gaskets and custom fabricated parts signed a 10-year lease that started on January 1st for the space adjoining its current location.
Having spent the last decade investing in state-of-the-art equipment including rotary die-cutters, laser optical measuring systems, large format printers and CNC precision cutting machines, the expansion was the next logical step for the growing company. Since LAMATEK took advantage of the recent vacancy of the industrial space next door, it can remain in the same West Deptford facility it has called home since 2005.
“We’re thrilled about the expansion because it will allow us to accommodate new opportunities,” said President Bob Carlson. “We’re upgrading everything and adding capacity as well as new capabilities and equipment. For a company that started in an 1,800 square-foot garage, this marks an exciting chapter in our substantial growth over the years.”
After working with Gloucester County’s Workforce Development board, LAMATEK reaffirmed their commitment to contribute to the local economy, in addition to adding a minimum of 20 jobs over the next few years.
Gloucester County Freeholder Director and West Deptford resident, Robert M. Damminger said, “We are grateful that LAMATEK has chosen to keep West Deptford, Gloucester County as their home. We know that our industries have many options to choose from and we are pleased they chose to stay here, expand here and are committed to hiring here.”
Freeholder Heather Simmons, Liaison to the Department of Economic Development, said, “It is a pleasure to work with LAMATEK. They are a great corporate neighbor and they know that Gloucester County’s Workforce Development Board will work with them to help them find the right labor force they need for their new expansion.”
Investing in additional space will also allow the company to maintain the quality and outstanding service it’s been known for over the last 34 years.

LAMATEK Inc. is proud to sponsor Gloucester County Institute of Technology’s (GCIT) robotics team, FRC Team 3151 Cyberstorm, who are competing in the annual FIRST Robotics Competition. The FIRST Robotics Competition, which kicked off on January 6, is a 6-week long event that teaches high school students innovative thinking, individual initiative and effective teamwork: Three of LAMATEK’s top values.
The West Deptford based company’s contribution to Team Cyberstorm will allow 40 students from GCIT to work together while learning invaluable job and life skills to engineer a large, remote-controlled robot to be entered in the FIRST Robotics Competition games. Donations like LAMATEK’s help cover registration fees for the 2 main events, as well as tools, safety equipment and building materials.
“LAMATEK is proud to support educational opportunities like this that showcase advanced manufacturing to local students,” says Vice President, Laura Basara of the program. “Students like those on GCIT’s robotics team are our future workforce and it is critical for our company to promote the exciting career opportunities in STEM and advanced manufacturing fields.”
LAMATEK wishes FRC Team 3151 Cyberstorm best of luck in the 2017 FIRST Robotics Competition. We’re proud to play a role in shaping the future generation of innovators.

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ – LAMATEK is making a donation to The
Lighthouse Christian Center of Philadelphia in the form of new,
unwrapped toys for the 2016 holiday season. Employees of LAMATEK will
also be in attendance at the annual Lighthouse Christmas party on
December 16, where gifts are distributed to the children and their
families. For the last 12 years, LAMATEK has donated gifts, food, coats
and time to the annual Christmas program that reaches out to over 500
needy children, men and women from the Philadelphia community. The
Lighthouse has been running this event for almost 30 years to provide
much needed food for the less fortunate, coats for the homeless, and
Christmas gifts for underprivileged children.
LAMATEK’s contribution to the Lighthouse program could not be sustained each year without support from generous employees and friends who are willing to give what they can to help others have a better holiday. As in recent years, we are especially concerned as corporate donations are down and there is a shorter period to collect gifts this year with the event falling on December 16th. LAMATEK will be accepting donations from the community as well, whether it be food, new Christmas toys or gently used coats up until the evening of the party. Appropriate gifts include non-electronic toys for boys and girls, from infants to young teenagers, that do not require batteries and do not promote violence (such as toy guns, swords, etc.)
