What is LAMAsoft?

LAMAsoft is the software development division of LAMATEK, Inc., a foam fabricator and converter based in West Deptford, NJ. LAMATEK has always believed in using technology to improve the way it does business. Over the years we have enjoyed the benefits of Java™ based freeware and open source applications, so we figure it's time to give back.

All the software provided on this site is done so absolutely free of charge. No royalties, it doesn't matter if you use this software inside another commercial application. It's still free. Not all software is open source, though, but most of it is.

What software does LAMAsoft provide?

We provide a variety of 100% Java™ freeware. All our downloads include the binaries and javadoc documentation. Most also include source code. The current list of available software includes:

JDateChooser: Java component that provides date selection functionality. Uses the same API as the JColorChooser and various other Swing dialog components.
JFontChooser: Give your application a professional font selection dialog. Includes a preview panel.
ODBCDirect: 100% Java™ database spider. Connects to any database that provides a java driver, or odbc connection. Includes a visual SQL statement generator.
Panoramania: A Java™ Applet that provides horizontal image scrolling capabilities. Originally designed for virtual tours using panoramic images.
Protobeans: A collection of Java™ classes the provide programmatic FTP and SMTP capabilities to any Java™ application.
SwingExtras: A large collection of custom Java™ Swing components that provide a lot of the missing functionality from the original Swing© toolkit. Includes the JDateChooser and JFontChooser components.
DBAccessLogValve: Provides the ability for Tomcat servers to store access logs to database, rather than a static text file.
Google Maps JSP Taglibrary: Using the Google Maps JSP Taglibrary, JSP developers can harness the power of the Google™ Maps API with no javascript or AJAX programming. Provides a 100% java front end, including a java-based event processing schema for truly interactive maps. Integrate with JSTL for database driven maps and more.
NewAJAX Javascript Library: An easy to use Javascript library that makes AJAX requests a snap. Includes all you need to make AJAX text based or XML based requests with just two lines of code. Also includes elementary DOM parsing code to make accessing XML responses easy to handle.
