Gasket tapes are used to seal against liquid and or gases. They can also be effective for
weatherstripping especially in areas that may see water.
In addition, gasket tapes can be used in packaging for spacing, impact absorption and vibration damping.
All of our gasket tapes are closed cell foams or sponge. They are manufactured from any of the following materials:
Polyethylene Foam Tape
Polyethylene foam tape is a very low cost material, when compared to other closed cell foam products with similar gasketing capabilities. When double coated (adhesive applied to both sides) it serves as an excellent mounting tape for bonding textured surfaces together. Not recommended for any application that requires compression recovery. Available in white or black.
Neoprene Sponge Tape
Provides good compression recovery and very good chemical with UV resistance and good flammability ratings. Works well in most applications, but should not be used where the seal must be frequently broken and resealed (like enclosure door applications) as it will take a compression set over time.
PVC Foam Tapes
Provides superior compression set resistance and inherent flame retardency. The perfect choice for outdoor gasketing/sealing applications, especially those where the seal is to be broken and re-established multiple times. Also makes an excellent high performance weatherstripping tape.
High-Density Urethane Tape
Provides good sealing capabilities with excellent resealability. Only recommended in applications where
a 50% or greater compression is attained. Available in single or double coated adhesive, black in color.
